HELLO ALL!

WELCOME TO 2009 – This year has started with changes and transitions for all.  We would like to extend a welcoming note to let everyone know that we have a Professional Development Meeting scheduled for Tuesday 2/17/09 at the Holiday Inn Airport – Dinner to start at 6:00 PM and presentation at 7:00PM.  Sign in will be $20 at door.  Call in reservations by 2/13/09 to Robin King at (501) 399-4337.

We are very excited about our speaker – Mr. Jeff Rooks from Remington.  He is going to make a presentation on Six Sigma and Introducing Suppliers to Process.  As noted below, Jeff Rooks has a Black Belt in Six Sigma and excellent credentials.  

Jeff Rooks is a Quality and Continuous Improvement professional in the position of Vice President of Quality Excellence for Remington.  Jeff started his manufacturing career working for Ford Motor Company in various plant operation capacities including material handling/logistics, quality, production management, and six sigma.  Jeff also spent several years at Hayes Lemmerz International in roles of increasing responsibility including Lean/Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Director of Quality/Operational Excellence - North and South America.  Most recently, Jeff was a member of the Cerberus Operations Team where he assisted Cerberus portfolio companies to implement better Quality and Continuous Improvement processes.

Jeff holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri, a MBA from the University of Illinois, and a MSE in Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan.  He is certified as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and a HLI Lean Manufacturing Leader.

Dinner will be Sliced Sirloin with Caramelized Onion Demi Glaze, Scalloped Potatoes, Green Beans, Tossed Salad with Dressing, Desert and Drink.
